[ The allure of new seeds or cuts draws Haru away from the safety of the Convoy. She has an ax with her, and Lucy is always there and ready for action. Normally, this is enough to guarantee her safety.
Except this world isn't normal, or at least not the normal she's used to. Even in the metaverse, mechanical t-rexes would be unexpected. Maybe in a palace in Fukui Prefecture, but-- well, she can think about that later. Right now, there's a mechanical t-rex heading her way, and it doesn't look friendly.
Haru plants her feet firmly, lets out a battle cry, and swings her ax at it, hoping if nothing else to trip it up. It kind of works, but the robot regains its footing, turns around, and runs for her again. Panic rising, Haru grabs her radio and curls up into a ball behind the nearest tree. ]
Ren--??? There's--
[ --mechanical roaring, pounding footsteps, and a horrified squeak from Haru. The radio gets knocked out of her hand when the robot rams into the tree, the impact sending her rolling along the ground. Help :( ]
[Ren’s recently sprouted wings are an adjustment, of course, but one benefit is that they afford him much quicker travel, and in situations like this, where someone needs his help? Quicker travel is invaluable.
It’s a matter of moments between when Haru radios him and Ren takes to the air, scanning the area below for - whatever it is that’s attacking her, he’s not sure yet but it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that Haru needs his help. He quickly radios back:]
[Where Ren goes, Akechi will follow. He'd already been observing the T-rexes, and he's at least discerned how to contend with them, but there's a greater issue...
An issue he calls out to Ren.]
Be extremely careful. The doctrine they blast is extremely debilitating.
[If they can just lure the pest to one of the antennas, they should be fine, but it is a risk, and Haru may not be prepared for it.]
[ They'll find that Akechi is correct. The doctrine leaves Haru shakier than the impact from the t-rex. She tries to fly away, or at least hover off the ground, but her damselfly wings can't bear her up. She can get to her feet, but just as quickly, she's down again, supporting herself on one knee, her ax serving as a cane at this point. Is she going to die here? She doesn't have the strength to go for her radio, but at least she knows Ren is on his way. ]
Lucy--!
[ It's her last shot. Her Persona manifests. She calls out an attack, but the t-rex goes for her again, cutting her off mid-word. ]
